My early art training was grounded in Abstract Expressionism from which I inherited my interest in non-objective imagery. That interest has evolved over the years to include the marriage of the objective image with the abstract image.
Using photographs of the world around me, my encaustic paintings explore the natural world imaging my passion for color and texture as well as organic and architectonic form.
I consider myself an intense, energetic and reflective artist and I think those characteristics resonate in my work.
