Biography
Born in Osaka, Japan, Tadashi moved to the United States and began studying
business at Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus. After taking a class
in the school’s glass blowing studio, his life changed when he realized he had found
his true calling in art. Tadashi graduated with his BFA in glassblowing/sculpture in
1997. Soon after, he moved to Knoxville, Tennessee to work with glass artist Richard
Jolley. Tadashi dreamed of opening his own studio. Working towards this dream,
Tadashi returned to Georgia in 2002. By 2005, Duckbill Studios in Scottdale was a
reality. Currently, Tadashi works on his own unique collection of art and functional
glass pieces inspired in part by his heritage and by social concurrent.

built professional glassblowing studio

private glassblowing classes

Assistant Artist, Jolley Inc.- Gaining Experience in the professional aspects as an
assistant for a studio artist, and developing my own skills and techniques to become
a master glassblower
